Our Wardrobe Essentials
When organising your wardrobe you may feel that there are a few essentials missing during the process or upon completion. The essentials that could be missing, if you for example do not have a walk in wardrobe could be jewellery storage, or you find that you no longer have enough space to add more clothes to the wardrobe that need to be hung; and may not exactly know what the right hangers and items to purchase.
Thankfully, that is what we are here for - to assist you with your wardrobe journey and bring forth ideas to better your wardrobes overall look. We have created five essential points that are a must have in/for your wardrobe. These are just pointers to bare in mind when tackling your wardrobe and we hope you find them useful.
Velvet Hangers
We recommend to purchase Velvet hangers, reason being that they will give you ample space in your wardrobe, in order to be able to fit everything that needs to be hung in, with potentially leaving you more room. We also do advice that you keep thick hangers for blazers, jackets and heavy knitwear (knitwear that does not need to be folded) so that they do not lose their shape. You can purchase the following from Amazon.
2. Storage Boxes - Baskets/Bins
Storage bins/baskets are the best items to have in your wardrobe as you can put all your minuscule accessories within them, ranging from scarves to belts, small bags and etc. It would be essential to also label them to easily find your items. You can find similar bins from Ikea.
3. Closet Kit
Closet Kits are perfect for adding space to your existing space/wardrobe as well as being versatile - you won’t need unless you want to spend money on a whole new wardrobe- instead you will just be updating it every so often as you would like. You may find that you would like more shelves to stack more bags, shoes or folding space. The amazing thing about this is, with additional room you are able to scale around your existing wardrobe. Closet kits can be inquired and purchased anywhere, however we do recommend Ikea.
4. Jewellery Storage
The small items are mostly forgotten about when it comes to organising a wardrobe. Jewellery storage is a must have in order to keep those precious watches and jewels in a safe place but also in pristine condition. You could divide between two shelves for everyday jewellery and another for special occasions - this will help to keep the aesthetic of the wardrobe flowing. Jewellery boxes are also an option if you would rather have them on a dressing table instead of this way.
5. Storage Trays
We prefer you use the drawers for folded items only, although depending on your wardrobe space you may/may not find this step to be as relevant for now. Storage trays for your socks, hosiery, lingerie or etc. is also needed to keep it separate from your clothing and not to take too much space. These storage trays can easily be fitted in your wardrobe or can be an extra extension that can be moved around.
